About Me

My goal is to work on challenges that have no precedent; no pattern. I want to work on the world's most wicked problems, solving unmet needs, empowering underserved communities and industries, and engendering positive change. I will help your organization dig deep into new problem spaces and find solutions and paradigms that are great for users and business.

Recently, I dedicated my time to building UX solutions in genomics and oncology:

  • I improved clinician experience by building front-end user interfaces to medical data

  • I streamlined clinical trial operations by enabling coordinators to solve their own issues

  • I built a new solution for sample management in laboratories

  • I removed silos and aligned my company around a holistic patient experience

Before that, I was a professor supporting a new generation of innovators by teaching code, computation, and procedural literacy at several art and design colleges.

Moving forward, I am energized to apply what I learned in these experiences toward new, engaging problems in serving life sciences, healthcare, medical data, AI application and governance. Let’s work together to build the right thing, and build the thing right.

I have a rich Product Design and User Research skillset. While people management is a passion, I’m also very comfortable using production tools (Figma, Adobe, HTML/CSS), project management software (Confluence, Jira, Wrike, Smarsheets), UX methods (wireframing, prototyping, user testing), service design methods, and research methods (survey design, qualitative interviews, card sorting, affinity clustering, click path testing, presentation design).
